Ms. Christine Merker pled guilty to Abandoning a Domesticated Animal.

The NJSPCA was called by St. Huberts Animal Shelter about a rabbit being abandoned.
Sergeant Murray Rothblatt of the NJSPCA contacted the owner of the rabbit, Ms. Merker on 6/4/07 to pick up the Rabbit from the Shelter. Ms. Merker said she would on 6/5/07.
By 6/8/07 she did not come for the rabbit. Sergeant Rothblatt issued summons for abandoning a Domesticated Animal to Ms. Merker.
(The facts are on 5/30/07 Ms. Christine Merker moved from Bedminster NJ to Somerville NJ. She left in Bedminster a domesticated rabbit in a cage on her terrace. The neighbors fed the rabbit for a few days. Finally the neighbors called St Huberts Animal Shelter, of North Branch, NJ and they picked you the rabbit.)
On June 26,2007 in Bedminster Court, Ms. Christine Merker pled guilty to Abandoning a Domesticated Animal Court and was fined $1,000.00 plus $208.30 Restitution to the NJSPCA.
