Mr. Raymond Kachmar pled Guilty to Failure to Provide Sustenance.


August 08, 2007- Bound Brook, NJ

Bound Brook Police Department called ACO Beth Comitas of the St. Huberts Animal Shelter to pick up 7 cats and 2 birds from 54 W Franklin Street, Bound Brook NJ.

The owner of the animals, Mr. Raymond Kachmar was evicted from his apartment. After ACO Beth Comitas brought the pets in to the shelter, they were examined and found to be in poor health. ACO Beth Comitas called the NJSPCA and Sgt Murray Rothblatt was dispatched.

After a thorough investigation, Mr. Raymond Kachmar was issued 2 summonses for failure to provide sustenance. All the cats have a severe upper respiratory infection and ear mites. Some of the cat’s coats were dull and one cat was pregnant. 2 parakeets were in a filthy cage that had not been cleaned in months.

On August 08, 2007 in Bound Brook Municipal Court Mr. Raymond Kachmar pled guilty and was fined $2.000.00 plus $163.80 restitution to the NJSPCA for a total of $2,163.80.
