Ms. Kimberly Cook pled guilty to abandoning a dog

August 03, 2007 and August 21, 2007 - Bound Brook, NJ

On 8/3/07 Sgt Murray Rothblatt of the NJSPCA received a call from ACO Beth Comitas of the St Hubert’s Animal Shelter, North Branch NJ. She informed him that she was at 346 w. Maple Avenue with a vicious pit bull. The dog attacked the caretaker and tore her pants. The Bound Brook Police was called and they were able to break the door and the ACO snared the dog. The pit bull and it’s 4 puppies were transported to the shelter.

Sgt Murray Rothblatt interviewed Ms Jessica Ostrawski the owner of the garage where the dogs were found. She informed him that Ms Kimberly Cook is the owner of the dogs and was asked if she can bring her dogs for one day to be taken care of, this was on 7/31/07. Jessica never came back and never returned Ms Jessica Ostrawski phone calls. After 3 days Jessica made contact with Ms Cook and she denied that the dogs were hers.

On 8/6/07 Sgt Rothblatt along with Officer Romenizn of the Bound Brook police department went to interview Ms Kimberly Cook.
