On January 6, 2008 Ms. Amanda Sporman of Hillsborough NJ abandoned a dog near a highway in North Branch NJ. The dog was found running at large at an apartment complex. We scanned the dog and found a microchip belonging to Ms.Amanda Sporman. ACO Rick Hagedorn called Amanda to inform her of this; she said she gave the dog to a friend in Pennsylvania. After a through investigation I charged Ms. Amanda Sporman with animal cruelty. On February 06, 2008 in Branchburgh Municipal Court Ms. Amanda Sporman plead guilty to abandoning a living animal. She was fined $1,000.00 plus $252.60 restitution to the NJSPCA. Total to NJSPCA=$1,252.60. Ms. Amanda Sporman was ordered to pay St Hubert’s Animal Shelter $160.00.
