Mr. Hakeem Chatmon plead guilty to cruelty

June 08, 2008 & July 1, 2008

On Sunday, June 08, 2008 Investigator L Donato was dispatched to Porter Ave, near the Ocean block. Upon arrival he met with the responding officers; P/O White, Stack, Toal, and Pattiof Seaside Pard. He was briefed and immediately examined the puppy for obvious medical problems. Upon examination he did find that the puppy appeared to be overheated. He attempted to cool the puppy down by using bottled water.
At approximately 7 pm the puppy’s owners Hakeem Chatmon and Taana Dupree arrived back at their car. After being briefed by the Officers and speaking to the complainants, It was determined that summons be issued to the dog owner for violation of Title 4.

On July 1,2008 Mr. Chatmon pled guilty to Failure to provide proper water
and Leaving an animal unattended in a vehicle Guilty The fine was $1,500 plus  Restitution of $100.00 to the NJSPCA. Total $1,600.00
