Mrs. Raab plead guilty to animal cruelty.

On February 15, 2010 the NJSPCA’s Agent P Amato received a complaint from St. Huberts animal control officer regarding a dog that had been abandon. Agent Amato and St. Huberts animal control identified the dog and its owner, Mr. Donn of Annandale NJ. After a further investigation it was discovered that Ms. Raab had 63 animals at her property that were not being taken care of. Some of the animals were sick with infectious diseases, emaciated and other health problems due to neglect. On February 20, 2010 Agent Amato charged Ms. Raab with 12 counts of animal cruelty which included abandonment, deprive of necessary sustenance and failure to provide food or drink. On April 8, 2010 in the North Hunterdon Municipal Court Ms. Raab entered a guilty plea on 6 counts of animal cruelty. Ms. Raab was ordered by the court to pay a $6,000.00 fine and $737.00 in restitution. In addition the NJSPCA was able to prove beyond responsible doubt that Ms. Raab is not capable of caring for animals any time soon. As a result the court ordered that Ms. Raab is not permitted to own any animals for 5-year and after the 5-year ban Ms. Raab must make an application to the court with documentation of physiological evaluation and submit to random inspections by the NJSPCA if she wishes to have animals
